In response, The New Associates have come forward to clarify the rally’s intent and to dispel any misconceptions about its sponsorship.According to George Turnah, a key member of The New Associates, the rally is not a political campaign and, most importantly, it is not sponsored by Minister Nyesom Wike. Rather, it is a significant event aimed at inaugurating the Bayelsa chapter of The New Associates, a group dedicated to fostering unity and progress in the region.”
The New Associates strongly believe in the ideology and leadership of Minister Wike. However, we want to make it clear that the Bayelsa Mega Rally is not a political campaign. It is a gathering to officially inaugurate our Bayelsa chapter and strengthen our collective vision for growth and development,” Turnah stated.Beyond the inauguration, the event is also an avenue to show appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his recognition and appointment of Bayelsa’s sons and daughters into key government positions.
